Everyone at my house looks forward to this dinner. With a buttered vegetable on the side and some crusty bread, it is a nice supper.

6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste

10-3/4 oz. can cream of mushroom soup

8-oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened and cubed

12-oz. pkg. wide egg noodles, uncooked

16-oz. container sour cream, divided

Spray a 5-quart slow cooker with non-stick vegetable spray. Season chicken breasts as desired; arrange in slow cooker. Top with soup and cream cheese. Cover and cook on low setting for 6 to 8 hours, stirring twice, until chicken is very tender. About 20 minutes before serving time, cook noodles according to package directions; drain well. Shred chicken with 2 forks; stir back into mixture in slow cooker. Add 3/4 of the sour cream; mix well. Add cooked noodles to chicken mixture; stir gently. Just before serving, stir in remaining sour cream. Makes 6 servings.
